Frequently Asked Questions

Where are your first aid courses held?

Our courses run from our training facility at Shop 6, 1000–1008 Pittwater Rd, Collaroy, on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We also deliver on-site corporate and group training at your workplace anywhere across Sydney.

How long does a first aid course take?

It depends on the course. Our HLTAID009 CPR course takes around 45 minutes following completion of online content, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid can be completed as a full day face-to-face session or as online theory plus a 90-minute practical, and advanced courses like HLTAID014 run longer. Each course page lists exact durations.

Are your first aid courses nationally recognised?

Yes. All our nationally recognised training is issued under Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909), so your certificate is valid Australia-wide and accepted by employers and regulators.

How often do I need to renew my first aid certificate?

First aid (HLTAID011) is recommended for renewal every three years, and CPR (HLTAID009) every 12 months, in line with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.

Do I need any experience or pre-study before attending?

No prior experience is needed. For our online-plus-practical courses you complete the theory at your own pace beforehand; for full-day face-to-face courses, everything is covered on the day.

Can you run a first aid course for my workplace or group?

Yes. We provide on-site first aid and CPR training for businesses, schools, and community groups across the Northern Beaches and greater Sydney. Get in touch for group bookings and corporate rates.

How do I book a first aid course?

You can book any course directly through our online calendar and pay securely at the time of booking. Just choose your course and a date that suits you. Or, email us and book a custom date and time that suits you.

Do you offer diver first aid courses for RTOs?

Yes. We license our nationally accredited Diver First Aid course (11448NAT — Course in Providing First Aid to a Compressed Gas Diving Casualty) to registered training organisations. RTOs can deliver this specialist course under licence, with a complete training and assessment package provided. Contact us to discuss licensing.
